A digital workshop built to design, develop, and share all things IT.
The world of technology is a fast evolving and sometimes daunting environment to work, learn, and play in. The great thing about having a vast array of technological resources is that there is something for everyone. Here you will find the beginnings of my attempt to capture my experiments and knowledge of the digital environments. My personal experiences in the field include web development, Cisco networking, system administration, hardware repair, and data recovery.
My current projects include earning the Security+ Certification from CompTIA and designing this website. There have been multiple versions of ECJ Digiworks since the domain was first registered in December of 2011. We are currently working on Version 3. There were a few mistakes made in the past and no real direction, but many lessons were learned. The biggest takeaway is to develop a vision and write it down. In the past, I coded without direction which led me to an eventual halt of the project. As a result, this website will have a roadmap that will be shared with all who read and follow the development of this site.
My current goal with the site is to develop embedded tabbed browsing for each of the topics and eventually code a content management system (CMS) with PHP. The first tabs are going to include web hosting tutorials, an about page, and a current study guide for the Security+ 301 test that I will be taking on September 15, 2014. In addition, I will be adding resources for people that are just beginning their journey in the world of technology. Starting at the beginning of October, I will be adding a series of training videos that cover the basic use of Microsoft Office. That will also be a great time to include a section on how to get started with YouTube.
As you can see, the sky is the limit when it comes to technology. Hopefully you will find some information that is both helpful and informative. If you have comments or questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I am always looking for constructive criticism or positive feedback. Thank you for visiting the site!
